“Your Skin Reflects What You Eat” –
Diet & Nutrition Tips for Healthy Skin and Fur

Healthy skin and shiny fur are a reflection of your pet’s diet & digestion!

Check out my “four pillars” to healthy skin and shiny & lush fur that you should put into your cats and dogs’ food bowl!

1 . Fresh meats. Ideally switch the type of protein weekly.
This is the number one guarantee for healthy skin and fur. Easy to digest proteins are the pillars of skin and hair. Quality animal proteins are essential and beat any supplement, any day!

2 . Fish – fresh or canned – but always human quality.
Natural Omega-3 fatty acids and” fat-attached” vitamins like vitamin A, D & E are a not-so-secret recipe to healing dandruff and scaly patchy dry skin.

3 . Fresh vegetables, in ‘rainbow colours’.
They keep your pet’s good gut bacteria (‘microbiom’) happy.
When gut bacteria do their job well, your furkid has access to plenty skin-relevant vitamins and micronutrients like vitamins and fatty acids which make a world of difference for a beautiful skin & lush fur!

4 . Animal-based fats and – the one and only suitable plant-based fat – coconut oil.
The right fats are your pet’s best allies to heal inflamed skin and supply energy to the thyroid (gland). A healthy thyroid gland plays a centre role in skin and hair / fur health!
